Utilizing Physical, Academic And Support Facilities

Procedures and policies for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities

  1. The institution runs a “Rog Nidaan Kendra”, inside the campus, to provide health facilities which are free of cost and supervised by the experienced physicians, to the people living nearby. On every first Saturday of the month, specialist doctors visits and give their services free of cost to the patients.
  2.  The institution have Building Construction and Building Maintenance Committee, which looks after the various facility of building construction and infrastructure needed inside or outside the campus of the college. Infrastructure,up-gradation related matters are generally discussed normally in the committee meetings under the leadership of Principal. Decisions taken by management of college are followed. The committee takes care of all the maintenance work of building, classrooms and laboratories in association with the purchase committee, if the maintenance work requires new purchases. It also looks after the allocation of funds received by RUSA and other funding agencies for constructions and infrastructure augmentation.
  3.  Adequate in-house staff is employed to meticulously maintain hygiene,cleanliness, and infrastructure on the campus so as to provide a congenial learning environment. All the classrooms, staffrooms, seminar hall and laboratories etc. are cleaned and maintain regularly by non-teaching staff assigned for each floor. Washrooms and restroom are well maintained. Dustbins are placed in every floor and Municipal Corporation is regularly contacted for cleaning and removal of dustbin wastes.
  4. The college has adequate number of computers with internet connections and the software’s in office, laboratories, library, departments etc. wherever necessary. CCTV cams are installed in the campus are maintained and taken care of by the administrative dept.
  5. Computer service agencies take care of the maintenance of computers, supporting hardware, LAN, and Wi-Fi across the campus. The internet committee is constituted in the college which is responsible for the maintenance and up-gradation of the internet connection, repairs and automation facilities in the college.
  6.  The college has constituted a library committee which has the following responsibilities:
    • To lay the broad outline of rules and procedures in the library.
    • To frame and suggest amendments to the existing rules whenever necessary.
    • To help in providing adequate staff for proper and efficient functioning of the library.
    • To suggest improvements in library services.
    • To select books, journals, and other reading materials needed for the departments after consultation with faculty heads.
    • To maintain students discipline in the library.
    • To promote qualitative and quantitative use of facilities.
  7. Institution has well trained library staff to provide various facilities to students and teachers of the college like:
    1. Issuing referring books , journals searching databases , downloading articles , scanning required articles , providing printouts of the articles.
    2. Providing Newspaper and general magazines.
  8. Various other facilities provided by the institution are :
    1. Cafetaria facility for students and staffs.
    2. ATM facility, which is taken care by Punjab National Bank.
    3. A Generator is also installed in the institution to provide power backup in case of power cut.
