Kalyan P. G. College recently concluded its highly anticipated annual day celebration, spanning two days of cultural splendour, camaraderie and award distribution on 15/02/24 and 16/02/24.

 On the first day the programme was graced by the august presence of Shri Vijay Baghel, Honourable Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Durg Constituency, Shri Neeraj Pal, Honourable Mayor Bhilai Nagar Nigam and Shri Laxmipati Raju, Honourable Parsad, Sector 7 Bhilai. The programme commenced with the Principal Dr. R.P. Agrawal presenting a comprehensive report highlighting the achievements and milestones of Kalyan College over the past year. The day also witnessed the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony, where winners of the two day Sports Day the annual sporting event of Kalyan P.G.College were awarded. Students excelling in extracurricular activities such as NSS and NCC, were felicitated for their exemplary contributions to the college and social community.

 On the second day, the illustrious guests to grace the occasion were Dr. Aruna Palta, Vice – Chancellor, Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg, Shri Rikesh Sen, Member of Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha), Vaishali Nagar constituency and Shri Rajesh Pandey, Additional Director Higher Education Department, Durg Division. Ph.D awardees, university merit holders, college rank holders and scholarships were awarded to deserving and meritorious students. Many eminent faculty members were also felicitated for book publications and other scholastic achievements. The cultural program, a dazzling display of talent and creativity, mesmerized the audience with its eclectic mix of performances.

In conclusion, the annual day celebration 2023- 2024 at Kalyan P.G. College was a resounding success, thanks to the collective efforts of students, faculty, and staff.  Special recognition goes to Dr. Anurag Pandey, HoD Department of English and In-charge Students Union – 2023-24 who oversaw and efficiently organised both the two day Sports event and two- day annual day celebrations.
