Department of Physics & Electronics
Department of Physics and Electronics is one of the most advancing departments of Kalyan P.G. College. It was established in 1974. Since its foundation it has been actively involved in teaching as well as in many innovative & social activities.
The department has employed 5 teaching staff & 2 non -teaching staffs. The department is proud to have qualified & experienced faculty members. The department offers many experimental and project work in the field of Material Science and Electronics.
The department is enriched with the library facility which has almost 2000 books and e-books. Department has separate laboratory for Electronics, Material science & General practical , Computer including two dark rooms.
The department encourages students for their career as well as their personality to deal with the outgrowing technical world. The department also trains students in different skills such as fabrication of static and dynamic display board, CCTV & INTERCOM installation & configuration and troubleshooting of trainers kit used in practical of U.G. & P.G.
The department also motivates and guide students of U.G. & P.G & research scholars also to participate in different workshops, conferences and seminars organized by national & state level institutes. Our department also enhances moral values and guide students to respect their culture. Every year students of the department celebrates many festivals and organize different social activities.
Department is active in Social activities like providing useful things to Old-age homes and to celebrate festivals in Divyang Schools. Students have conducted quiz competition organized by C.G. Vigyan Manch, sponsored by NSCTC, Govt. of India, and New Delhi.

Students seminar
Student seminar are taken as an part of education to fulfill the basic requirement of internal assessment of PG students and also for promoting teaching ability as well as developing self confidence.
Projects
Each semester all the students are divided into 5-6 small groups. Each group work on mini projects under the guidance of concerning teachers.
Educational excursion
The department organized excursion trips and field visits to well acquaint the students to practical knowledge of subject.
Guidance
Teachers of the department are always available for personal guidance to the students especially during their seminar preparation.
Involvement
Most of the faculty members of department are actively involved in various committees. Students are also works together and interact with each other through physical activities. Special lectures and eminent teachings are organized under the auspices of Physics society.
Extra Curricular activities
Students are encouraged to participate in all co-curricular and curricular activities. Physics Society of department organized various Competitive Activities like – Quiz, Rangoli, Drawing, Slogan etc. and also gave Memento & Certificate to the First as well as Second winner of the each events.
Skill Development Activity
Students are trained to detection of fault in trainee kit and repair them in working condition
