The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication was established in Kalyan P.G. College Bhilainagar on July 2006. That is a Professional Bachelor Degree Course [BA(JMC)] which is Affiliated to Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [https://www.ktujm.ac.in/]
We are offer to full time regular Bachelor Degree Programme with 25 Seats. In our Department have fully Internet Computer Lab and rich departmental library. In the library both English & Hindi Medium Books are available. Also we have well qualified and media industries working experienced Professor. This faculty know very well in the Media industry’s demand & supply of working Professionals and also what a trends in the industry.
Our vision is that we produce the person who is alumni are good & ethical media professionals Journalist. This professionals are contribute to make more strong ‘Democratic India’ that is real practice of ‘Media as the Fourth Pillar of Democracy’.
Now Media is highly growing industry that’s reference to FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) report. According to the FICCI-EY report 2021, the media and entertainment business is estimated to grow 25% to reach Rs. 1.73 trillion (US$ 23.29 billion) in 2021. According to an EY report, the Indian media and entertainment (M&E) sector stood at Rs. 1.38 trillion (~US$ 19 billion) in 2020 and is estimated at Rs. 1.73 trillion (~US$ 23.7 billion) in 2021.

Students Seminar
Student seminar are taken as an part of education to fulfill the basic requirement of internal assessment of PG students and also for promoting teaching ability as well as developing self confidence.
Guidance
Teachers of the department are always available for personal guidance to the students especially during their seminar preparation. Both the gender avail the facilities provided in the department equally.

Department of Journalism & Mass Communication run the Web News Blog. Name of that Kalyan Shor Sandesh (कल्याण शोर संदेश). Various activities of Kalyan P. G. College Bhilai –Durg (C. G.) inclusive all faculties.
We are offered to full time Bachelor Degree Course [BA(JMC)] which is semester system. This course completed to six semester and which session is the July to December and January to June.

Journalism & Mass Communication has not produce graduates apart from that produce so many scholars. The graduate have masters & other degree from Ktujm Raipur, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya Wardha, Maharashtra as well as prominent institution of Delhi and other city in the country.
Mass Communication department has big story of success in various competitive exam. Like PSC, SSC, Railway etc. In the field of print & electronic media so many graduate are doing excellent.
